Phoebe is an international lawyer and Senior Associate at the firm, where she leads the Natural Resources and Sustainable Energy, Family Law, and Pro Bono Practice teams.
She holds a B.A from the University of Ghana and an LL. B from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA.), where she earned recognition as the Best Student in Human Rights and International Trade and Investment Law. Phoebe also holds two Master’s degrees: an LL.M. in Global Security, Sustainability, and International Human Rights from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, and an LL.M. in Natural Resources Law from the University of Ghana. Remarkably, she graduated as a valedictorian for both programs.
Phoebe’s practice spans natural resources law, sustainability, family law, and human rights advocacy. She has advised on multinational business operations, major property transactions, led significant pro bono initiatives and transnational human rights cases, with expertise in the environmental and social impacts of extractive industries.
In addition to her legal practice, Phoebe is a Lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law and the Deputy Executive Director of the African Sustainable Energy Centre (ASEC). She also serves on the boards of several legal and international law organisations, reflecting her standing as a respected voice in natural resources law, sustainability, and human rights.
Deeply committed to human rights and community service, Phoebe volunteers with the Human Rights Advocacy Center (HRAC) and has served as a consultant and researcher for organizations such as the Clooney Foundation for Justice, the Penn Development Research Initiative, and CEDAW.
Her research explores sustainable development, human rights in mining communities, and gender justice in Africa. She also serves on the boards of several legal and international law organizations.
